I had 10 very nice 18" - 24" tall plants when along came fucking Bambi and chomped the shit out of one of them but luckily it only took the top 3 or maybe 4 sets of small branches ( its still alive...for now) but I was wondering if there are any good Deer repellants out there that someone could rec for me. I know I could put some wire around it but that gets a little noticable and I would rather spread something on the ground around the containers if possible. Thanks

Use rusty wire and feed some weeds through the wire like your doin scrog to help camo it.

I like the sound of both of thase methods and I really appreciate how quickly htat you both came to the rescue. I spent enough money on these fem'd H-Plant seeds I dont want to lose anything. Thanks. I am planning on trying to use 2 0r 3 for mothers later on ( and I will problably be needing morre help down the road with that.) But thanks again....for now.

The simplist way to detour animals small and big is to piss around the plants. If not together then each one and for the ones together piss around the whole grow. I grew outside for a long time, along time ago. Works EVERYTIME!! I used to go up the hill with a six pack and drink it and then mark it. The beer in your urine will keep out several kind of bettles and several other slugs and worms. This is for real I am sure you'll find others on here doing the same thing. Good luck!

I think that I'll get wasted tonight and piss around my plants.( hopefully not on them. ) Sounds like it will work and also it gives me a reason to drink a six pack :)

Also these things will help

human hair
dog piss (put a few rags where your dog pee's and place rags around your grow
dirty clothes ,(socks T-shirts)
broken bars of soap
also gasoline will do it too but you need to reapply every few days .. pour it out in a perimiture 25' away from your plants

I wouldn't suggest using the bars of soap deterrent. It may deter other animals but it attracts rats; that actually eat the soap for the fat content. Nor would I suggest gasoline; as it can actually kill other plant life including your weed plants. Lets not forget that its also damaging for to ecosystem and pollutes.

I have heard about rats going after soap and since I live near a river I see ded rats by the road all the time so that isnt an option for me and I dont really want to be pouring gasoline especially when its $4.30 a gal every few days ( but thanks for the suggestion any input helps.) Another thing is I am relativly new to growing so I thought that Id get some opinions on what I am using and what you all think of it or if there are any other things that I should be doing or not doing.
ok... for starters I am growing on a very sunny hillside which gets sun from around 8:00am til around almost 7:00pm, in 3.75 gal pastic containers, with foxfarm ocean forest soil. When I transplanted them into the pots I dusted the plug with Roots Organics powder and watered them with the Roots until they seemed to have rooted in the soil. It has been over a month and I just started watering with FoxFarm growbig. I water them about every 3-4 days and have fed them once and am planning on feeding them every 3rd watering. Just recently I read that if you put a layer of hydroton pebbles on hte top of the soil it helps keep the soil moist and it encourages the roots to use more of the top of the soil so I put a nice layer on the top of the soil and it seems to be true??..I can post some pics in a day or 2 if anyone would be interested? If something I am doing doesnt seem like a good idea or if you just have any ideas please let me know. Thanks and if I could I would pass the blunt your way:)

All sounds good! Just be carefull, I was never able to get that much sun without being too visible from the air. If you have just a couple of plants fine, but if you have numbers try to be as stealthy as possible. I alway grew under trees and used to trim trees to give max. exposure. Be very carefull on your paths to and from the grow. I lived near a airport and was alway paranoid about the air traffic. Used to drive my wife and dogs nuts going outside all the time to see what as flying over.....Yeah would like to see some picks of what ya got! good luck

Guaranteed by me: Milorganite Lawn Food. Available at Home Dep, hardware, etc. Made from human sewer sludge, it REALLY works as a repellent. Its granular, just strew it around.

I saw it was already posted, but Human Hair does a great job at deterring deer.

Pull some hair out of a brush, ball it up a bit, and stick it somewhere out there.

Thanks for the advice about being spotted but my spot is on a hillside just south of where the sun rises and rises and sets so they are getting sun from the north all day and they are right on a treeline where they wont be spotted. The property is all private, unihabitable and untracable to me ( well maybe distantly tracable but I'm not worried ), I mean its like the fucking boonies out in my area. Oh yeah and I'm not growing like a mad farmer or anything just enough for me. Started 10 hoping for at least 6 to make it. I'd like it if all of em made it but I'm trying to be realistic, or at least realistically hopeful:)

I just read my own post and I got confused myself with the dirctions I gave so here is the easy explaination of my sunlight, if you were my plant and you were facing north the sun comes up from a little behind your right side and goes down a little in front of you on the left side. I hope that clears things a little.
