O.k. is it possible to wire up 2 ballast in "series" of 120v to run on 240v.??

I have already done it with my intake and exhuast fans..

But am not sure about doing the same with 250w ballasts... and even better if i could run 1 mh and 1 hps at the same time..??

no you cannot! and what do you mean you've done it with the fans!!?? wired them to 220v?? when they are originally 110v??!!

Anyways why do you want to do this? Would you not use a voltage convertor instead, the kind you use when travelling for example? Id imagine that chances are the ballasts will explode if you try link them in series.

Yeah, two US fans (120v) will and does work brillantly... for the last 2 years and with a dimmer switch to change the speed..

not a smart or safe thing to do- lucky it hasn't started a fire yet.
even dumber would be to try it w/ a ballast or 2.it might work for a while but a ballast is designed to convert a specific voltage into another voltage that the light can use.
buy a converter or at least make sure your insuranse is paid up and anyone living in the house is aware you are trying to burn the place down.
