anxiety after smoking weed ???

hey guys my bros been having anxiety problems after smoking weed hes still kinda a newbie it was his 4th time mayb getting high is that normal ? He says he freaked out and now he feels like he lives in a dream and he says it was't laced cuz none of his friends feel this way. what should he do ??

hes really freaking out :P

Maybe your brother shouldn't smoke weed. Im no doctor or anything but any kind of benzodiazapine will help with the anxiety.

welll.. id just smoke more, and have him in a good enviroment, so he can just hangout and chill and laugh. then he will realize he actually isnt that scared of it and the anxiety will stop:weed:

This is a common problem with some people. what kind of bud is he smoking? could it be a highly energetic bud? sometimes people confuse this with anxiety. or maybe he just needs to smoke more? I get like that when i don't smoke enough.

It could just be his environment or state of mind. Maybe he's not fully comfortable yet. if he starts smoking and is allready paranoid, that will lead to anxiety, stress. etc.

tell him to go to a doctor lay off the pot and eat some lsd that will get him out of his dream/anxiety state

Every now and then I get the occasional panic attack from weed. It usually happens when I'm sick, worried, or stressed. Its not a normal thing for me. When it does happen I start to hyperventilate a bit. This doesn't happen in my sober life. Its pretty rare. I maybe have this happen 10 times a year.

I get like that on occasion, but it's usually after I haven't smoked for a few days. If I smoke for the first time in 5 days I might get a little anxious, but if I smoke again later that day I'll be fine. It usually only lasts a few minutes.

Well i read up on it now...and it said it could of triggered an anxiety disorder because it affects the neurotransmitters in your brain or something and it can last a month or 2 or it can be permanet.

Like worm said try a different kind of weed. Maybe you are smoking a strong sativa, try a pure indica strain.

I'm sorry, wtf? Dude is anxious and you think LSD will calm him down? Did someone you sit next to on the little bus tell you that? You NEVER fry when you are in a bad state of mind.

xXJDMXx420 - I have noticed that only smoking one or two hits will increase the paranoia factor. If I smoke four or five I'm golden. I think that sketchy feeling comes from just not being high enough alot of times.

I know what he has, because I have it now too and just figured out what it was. Lookup derealization/depersonalization and ask him if the symptoms match his. If it does, he needs to go to the doc for Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

I didn't even know I had anxiety before I started smoking because it feels so normal to you that you don't know what life is like without worrying. People say that weed gives people anxiety attacks but I believe it just helps you recognize that you have anxiety so you can get the help for it

I'm assuming the LSD was a joke.
I've had anxiety from smoking before... but, for it to last so long - I don't know, sort of seems like he ought to find something else. Maybe just stick with drinking or something.

Yeah, and if smoking has affected him in such a long term way, LSD sounds like a possible recipe for something permanent.

I know people that cant smoke because they have anxiety problems. Needless to say they're some of the most uptight people to be around.

Indica would def be the way to go, they've done studies that show that thc can increase anxiety in some people, and the stronger cbd levels in indica strains help bring the anxiety from thc down.
