Anti government in the politics section

Seems like there should be a separate forum for the anti government folks.

Here in politics most people are discussing trying to get their elected government officials to work for them, and they realize they must live within the system to do it.

Then the anti government folks that want to live in a utopian government free society argue that no government is the way to go.

I'm not sure where you need to live to be in a government-free society. But arguing about it in a politics forum will always lead to a circular discussion that never goes anywhere.

Feels like a pipe dream and not a real logical stance to take. If this is all about wishes I also would like to ride a dragon. Who do I talk to about making that happen?

This is a weed growing site. So the bias is toward anti-social types that are typically shunned by polite society. Growing weed does not seem to be impaired by mental illness. It also gives access to America's finest mental health treatment facilities.

I understand that the government found a great way to keep marginalized populations in slavery and make crazy profits off of it. But why the fuck is that still happening? Why are people allowing it to happen?

Everyone knows privatized prison systems are slavery. Profit driven corporations. How is it that America is so fucking rich but has some of the worst social programs?

This is an example of being anti government because it is the governments fault, regardless of the party in power it keeps happening. But there has to be a way to change it within the system available.

I don't think "government" can be blamed for this. We used to throw these people down into a dark hole. Now we throw them into a different dark hole. We as Americans don't like these people on the street and we don't want to pay for them. The typical answer was to just let them live in the basement. But then we put a computer down there with the interwebs allowing them to find eachother.

Well, other countries have prison systems that are government funded, not privatized. Just like other governments have universal health care or better education systems in place.
When you're dealing with a profit-driven corporation; the people are never going to be viewed as people, just numbers and dollar signs.
And to change this, the government will need to play a large part. The American people forcing change on that government will need to play an even larger part.

There are plenty of people with mentally ill views of the world that wouldn't qualify for the DSM-V version of a mental illness. For that to be the diagnosis they need to suffer from impairment due to their issues.
Take donald trump as a prime example. He appears to be a malignant narcissist. Yet because he's such a rich fucker, he doesn't seem to have been brought down by his illness, he's the fucking president of the United States. His lack of empathy and Machiavellian tendancies have only benifited him.
It's the mental issues of those that support him that are detrimental to their own lives. They qualify for sure.

This is why I've gone to the " no government/ fuck government" mentality. There's no system that is "fair" to everyone. How do you govern a country where you have a range of citizens reaching from mountain men who want to live in solidarity, own guns, own vehicles they can work on, hunting for food, living off the land to techies who want modern city living, no guns, self driving carso, modern restaurants, etc?

Poor example, in still half asleep, but you get the drift.

I realize I still need to follow certain rules to not get totally fucked over, but I don't recognize their self imposed laws. No law is going to stop me from doing what I want, life's to short.

I can fully see why people would want to give up and say fuck the government. But it's kind of that mentality of not voting and not trying to change things that leaves everything left unchanged.

The difference between being mentally ill or not often has to do with whether you have assets or not.

I tried. I'm 38..39... something around there. I've been into politics since 6th grade. By the time I was in high school, I was heavily into following politics. By my mid 20's, I realized it was a game we are being played in, but have no real control over. I've voted in every election up to last year. Our system is broken. A small groups of people decide which 2 candidates we are allowed to choose from. Those two candidates have always been different sides of the same coin my whole life. We have a system that makes people believe they have a choice, when we really don't.

I'd like to believe "the people" still have power, but I don't. They'll throw is a bone on smaller issues, but we can't do shit about major policy, it's bought, written by, funded and pushed through by special interests.

No matter how much we vote we are still going to get fucked by the government. I will be an outlaw until the day I die.

We need a revolution not a debate about which side will fuck us with the kindness to use Vaseline. We are still getting fucked.
