ant infestation-transplant

i recently dealt with a ant infestation in one of my plants that turned out to be alot worse than i had originally thought. ive been useing soil and have one around 3-4 ft. i bought ant traps and transplanted to a perlite topsoil soil micture in new self watering pots(which i might add works fantastically). ive had to transplant 3 of 4. the largest one is taking the hardest hit it looks like. she(hopefully) is on her second day of being transplanted and is lookign worse everyday.
the ant infestation was mostly in this particular one. alot eggs and larva in the roots and surrounding soil.

is there anything that i can do short of waiting to see if the transplant will take. or do i let her die? what steps can i take to help with survival?
any help would be grateful. thank you

What do ants do that is bad to your plant? Do you kill all the lady bugs and praying mantises around your plant also?

You can try and drown them by putting the pot into a larger container, laundry sink or bathtub, and fill it with water.
Leave the pot in the water for a day and most of the ants should die.:blsmoke:

Ants can cause damage to your roots with their underground colonies. They also use your plant fro grazing their herds of aphids and mealy bugs. Next time you can prevent them before they even start by either getting some cinnamon, cloves, or bay leaves and create a herbal barrier by pouring the spice in a perimeter around your garden. You could also create a tea with either of those three by brewing them and spraying it on your plants, this can also drive them away if you already have an ant problem.

Sorry about your plant. If I were you I'd feed her some nutrients and give her plenty of water.

Good Luck!
