I've seen less stretch when using high N (hot soil) but it's not been verified, just seeing this on my new grow vs. my old one while growing the same strains.

Hm, interesting will look in to that.. wonder if it holds true for Coco/hydro as well..

Higher temps during night than day is also supposed to help against the stretch.

Heat & Humidity. You mean AC & De-Hu?
Don't quite know why some complain about the stretch? That's what they're supposed to do. Hence big fat long buds.
Adding blue is good for numerous reasons.

Yeah that. Especially the AC. When I ran 1200 watts of hps the temp drop "at night" also caused a sharp spike in humidity which gave me mold in my biggest donkey-dick. 70 dried grams to waste. :(
