An Orphan, no mother...

I was just sitting here thinking, can you take clones from a plant that is in its flowering stage? I would like to do this so there will be no need for a mother plant. If not, how many mothers do I need for 12 clones every 3 months?

Yes you can, i have several strains on perpetual grow cycles with no mothers. Clone from clone from clone from clone etc, etc..... Up to 4 week from 12/12 is optimum, any longer and rooting the clones takes weeks sometimes.
