Amount of Heat Saved by Leaving Ballast Outside of Room?

I have a 400w hps/mh-conversion and temps got up to 120 degrees fahrenheit before but i haven't been able to setup proper ventilation yet so i have been cfl'ing so far for this grow. first successful grow right now and cant afford to fry these a month into veg. am wondering how much of a degree drop i would expect? btw growing space is 2.5'wX4'dX8'h. any and all help/advice would be appreciated

not much if anything you need a good inline fan to suck the hot air out

The ballast generates ALLOT of heat.. but you still need good ventilation.. i haven't done it myself but i am guessing it should make a big difference when it comes to temps..

aight well i guess ill just try it in a different closet and try to compare. prob is i dont have another closet close to that size. the other closet is only like a foot deep

ventilation is key this will be the only way your really going to be able to bring down temps in a small space like yours.
