Amount of alcohol for tincture

Planning on making a tincture... Just wondering how much of this everclear alcohol I should pour over my weed to make tincture... I was thinking of using an ounce of weed for my first attempt... I have 500ml of this high strength alcohol however I want to use as little as possible to make strong tincture... Thanks

I use just enough to cover the decarbed bud in the mason jar. Maybe a little bit over the top to allow for some evaporation since I do a 7 day soak with daily shaking.
