Ammo Crate for Weed!

So with a big harvest coming up and two teenagers and my wife in the house I figured I better come up with a way to lock up the weed. More from the teenagers then the wife. I pondered the idea of making a fancy hardwood cabinet but couldn’t bring myself to go so cookie cutter and make something pretty. The cabinet is in my space and I figured I want something cool that says keep the fuck out lol. I always wanted an ammo crate so I am incorporating that into my new weed storage with a padlock to keep the buds nice and safe
I’m going army green with a matte sheen and it will have black screws and some white stenciling to make it look super damn cool! She will hold 54 jars so I am hoping on filling it.

You used the wrong hinges. You want the kind that go inside the cabinet. A concealed hinge. What good is a padlock going to do? Six screws and one of the doors is coming off and you'd never even know anyone got inside. Other than that, not bad. The hinge issue is easily fixed.

Really dude lol. It’s a prototype and is under construction. But I totally get what your saying. I do have a video surveillance camera on my room as well so I would know if they got as ambitious as to get screws drivers out and shit. I trust my kids just not 100% lol. But now I know what I need to change or fix for the next crate. I’ve already got friends asking me for one who grow their own shit

Honestly I was working with what I had in the garage and didn’t even think of that. Thanks. I’ve already started looking at hasps that cover the screws
 
No worries. Security was not all I was going for with this storage idea more then making an ammo crate finally where I could use it without my wife bitching at me hahahahaha
 
I'm going old school like WW2 kinda look. I may go with the yellow paint for stencil instead of white now though
 
Got my paint tonight. Tomorrow morning she’s getting the cool ass green paint job. Can’t wait to hang this in the wall.

Little more expensive but definitely way better then mine. I could go that route but this is literally costing me a gallon of paint and some time. I like the fact that if your house burns down you’d still have your stash their hahaha

Yeah, what you're doing is cool. I wouldn't buy a gun safe just for weed, but if a person has some spare space in one, why not.
 
Alright here’s the update. It’s pretty much done. Painted it and reassembled it and it looks pretty badass. Tomorrow she’s going up on the wall.
Stenciling is not fun when you have to cut out your own lol. But well worth it!
