Ok so you cut the top of the plant off ,the top stops growing and the 2 new branches that were ALREADY there before you cut the top now become the top of the plant.. Do I have that right? So exactly what is the point other then maybe making the bud sites at more of the same level depending on where you top? It doesn't actually create MORE bud sites.. Or am I missing something?

Because the main cola produces the most so....2 main colas = more bud.

Anyone have any pics of a topped plant and an untopped plant comparison? Or a link to a grow that compares topped vs untopped?

Under indoor lighting, an even canopy will yield more than a natural shaped plant, because more of the flowers are closer to the light. That big central cola prevents you from getting enough light to the lower branches, so they are fluffy second class stuff instead of nice hard nuggets. Get it?

*yea.. i got it :)

I have yet to top yet, just lst em if your scared of the stress...but as far as an even canopy, you should always strive for this! I mean your energy bill will never go down but you can make your yield definitely increase with proper training, just choose from the many canopy control methods this website has to offer....there's a ton
