Am I missing a step?

Hey guys please excuse my Ignorance. I have a question, after germinating my seed I place it in a rockwool cube then burry it in the medium correct??

My setup is a simple 5 gal bucket with a 10 in. Grow pot filled with medium air pump air stones etc. A Basic DWC System. My question is how does the seedling grow if it's barried 3 inches from the top, and the water/bubbles are another 6 in. From the cube itself?? Do I need to drip water onto the cube until it grows roots deep enough to absorb water from the breaking bubbles? I know I'm missing something here someone please explain. Thanks for everyones help so far.

i wouldnt go 3 inches more like 1" and yes you want to foliar feed the cube for a few days and then when you have a lil girl sprout then you can put her in the dwc! and just to let you know start your thread where it will be seen by the right people you started this one in the grow room setup!! shoulda went to dwc's or general marijuana! jus fyi !

foliar feed is sprayin with a water bottle!! thats all! that way its a little harder to over water yur baby!!

i hate rockwool. well guessing you didnt know what foliar feeding was your new to this i think you will have much better luck with rapid rooter plugs germ throw in hole set in 1/4 of water and good to go also good for soil or dro

If the etc, includes clay pebbles then i wouldn't worry too much the nutrient will get to the roots just fine.

I got a better understand now.. After using the rockwool cube or rapid rooter plugs I'm assuming the clay pebbles absorbs water and nuits until the roots hang low enough for the Rez to serve it's purpose. Correct? Iv been hiring up the dwc sub forums and there is tons of info there thanks for the help guys.
