i brought a grow light from this dude. he lied and said it was a 400 watt hps... turns out to be a 400 watt MH. Am i fucked when it comes to flowering? how will this affect my yield and how will it affect the amount of stretching that takes place when flowering? Im growing Greenhouse Alaskan ICE and Barneys G13 haze

So basically i am right? should i expect a lot less yield?

I brought a hps bulb but when i put it in it doesnt work.

Is There A Converter Or Something I need?

I have heard that with MH you lose a little yield but it will be a lot more covered in trichomes. Do some research on here, i think there are a couple threads on this topic. Good luck

dude you are not fucked in anyway here. the difference between mh and hps is light spectrum color. the hps will give more red light vs the mh will give you more blue. Ideally you would use both to have a completely balanced light spectrum. I am currently doing this with a 600 watt mh/hps hybrid bulb, but using either one in flowering will mainly affect the upward growth and not necessarily your yield. plants grown with just hps tend to grow taller and mh grown plants grow a little shorter and bushy. bongsmilie:peace:

you can buy an hps converison bulb that should work with your mh ballast

a regular hps bulb will not work
