Any suggestions on how to secure my finances without actually putting them in a bank?
Buy 'things' that will increase in value faster than currency. The problem there is you have to know the 'things', better than most, to be successful in this type of scenario.Any suggestions on how to secure my finances without actually putting them in a bank?
You can buy Jews now?purchase art, jews, silver, coins,
In all seriousness I collect Mr Potato head. I have HUNDREDS of them and have very little invested. My collection is worth a ton of money. Less than it would have been in the 90's at the peak of collectable markets. But there will be another peak with the huge influx of pop culture stuff. Not that I'm going to sell. I get a lot of joy out of collecting them.Collectables can be a nice private way to go. Just don't get into any collectable that you don't love. If your only in it for the money, you won't do the kind of research you need to do to make good purchases. Also, if you love whatever it is you won't really be burned if you end up with something you are 'stuck with' for a decade or two. If you dig baseball cards or china dolls or anything, there are people who collect it. They have books, web sites and meets/shows. Find something you have a passion for, and dig in. Then as years go by you can sell stuff off as you need to.
Take a once in a lifetime, life changing trip/experience. Surf Tonga, get blown in Thailand, take a safari in the Serengetti. Put the money into a life you want to remember, not into the bank.
Just a suggestion.
