All new setup needs all new advice.

Greetings once again, my little internet ducklings.

I have just recently upgraded my veg from 4 36'' flouro's to 2x175w metal halides.
i have also planted my clones in a substrate that i wish i researched more before i blended it up! It mainly consists of coco choir...but i didnt want to have to feed it every day, so i mixed it with a pre-fert soil with an npk of 8.12.8 as well as throwing in a small part vermiculite, and perlite. What i would like to know is the pre-fert soil going to help any, or just create more problems for me?

Does anyone know what i should expect in the future? and should i be transplanting into soil before i throw my babies into flowering?

my babies strains are Black Russian, and Gold Skunk x Black Domino, im also growing some AK from seed.

Ah might as well edit in another question while its still on my mind. The 2 175wmh's are in a 4'x2' (roughly) closet, door always open, fan blowing right at the babies. how high above them should the lights be? ive heard 8'' and then ive also heard no less than 12''! i just got these lights myself, so i cant be sure about burning OR stretching, and i'm going to worry about it until it causes damage to either the plant or me!
