I placed a order with Alibaba or at least I think I did many back and forth messaging. Finally agreed on the product price and shipping charges. They sent some kind of trade assurance guarantee. I just want to pay for the stuff wtf! Does anyone know how this #%&@ works? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I really have a hard time dealing with folks who think they can speak english, either you can or you can't. Don't wing it. This involves my hard earned $$$

All thy should do is email you a PayPal invoice or some way to pay and you're done

The trade assurance is like insurance to protect the buyer. My transaction with them went pretty smooth. And delivery is quick too 7 days from China to the east coast.

Your money isn't given to the manufacturer until you've accepted the order as arriving ok.
I buy tons of stuff on AliX with only 1 click but AliBaba original is for wholesale account large volume purchases. Items might take 6 weeks to arrive but everything always arrives fine eventually.

The serious shops send via DHL, parts arrive in 5 days!

No one wants the hassle of returning goods, likely not possible anyway.

only use established business 2-3 yrs. with 80% customers satisfaction or higher.

1. Send a inquiry to the manufacturer.
2. haggle on price and shipping.
3. Use trade assure, until you established a relationship then you can pay direct and save 10% more
4. Ask every possible question about the product.
5. Seller send you a purchase order, you accept and pay.
6. Transportation has to to specified nearest port or to your door. some stuff arrives in a week some a month to 6 weeks.

Precisely.
One thing he missed though is that you do steps 1-4 with a few If not dozens of suppliers to get the best price. I couldn't believe the range in prices when I was checking out QBs.
