Hello RIU'ers

As I was checking on my one week old plants today, I noticed algae growing on the pearlite in the top layer of the dirt. I have them vegging under some florecent lights. Is this going to cause a problem? And if so any recomended solutions? I don't want my babies getting sick!

it wont hurt ur plant, actually it'll give O2 to ur roots..just coverit with foil to prevent the light to it...ur OK

Do not use foil

Use something like white plastic sheeting cut to size around the base of your plants.

This will help to reflect some light back up at the plant without causing too much heat underneath.
