AK-48 Almost Done? (vids&pics)

Hi all.
This is my first post here. I've been growing this ak-48 in the frigde :mrgreen: and would like you to see it and help me try to finish the baby. I have been posting some videos on youtube so you can see this grow from the start at YouTube - flowerpowerdude's Channel.

Its now 34º Day flowering since 12/12. She started from seed in soil with 18h light cycle during 28 days. Feed her with 18/18/18 in veg with micronutrients.
Then started flowering with 12/12h cycle. Changed food to 8/20/20 and superthrive. Last week just just PK 14/14 and superthrive.From today on i was thinking of give her just water..

Lights: Envirolites red 200w + blue 200w spectrum. I also have some fluorescents aquarium plants tubes by side but don't now their specifications.

Temperature goes from 28ºC with lights on and 19ºC at night period. Hummidity varies from 35% to 60%. Good air flow.

I have polinized 3 flowers for seeds.

I have been watching the thricomes heads and here are some pics of today. All seem very cristal yet, some milky and already saw very few ambar.

What do you think? Almost done?

I've made some changes today...
- light period increased to 14h light.
- waithing for 2x EXO TERRA REPTI GLO 10.0 UVB DESERT TERRARIUM LAMP 26W

here are some today pics ...
trichomoes are very clear yet...

not done yet, give them 6 weeks before you even think about chopping them. from 6-8 weeks is usually the best time for the buds to explode, they will swell up and the cannabinoids will increase and the trichome crystals will swell and become uniform cloudy to amber. id say you have at least 3 weeks left

Looking great! I'm growing some AK48 that just went in to 12/12 rm. I did some looking around and found that many people were VERY happy with the strain, though most thought that "48 days" was highly unrealistic. Most said 8-9 wks is about right.
Most plants will explode during the last 2 wks of flower. The buds can add up to 25% more weight through swelling and trichome growth at this time. It's hard to wait; I'm still trying to get caught up from a disaster over the winter, so I can stop PICKING on the poor plants before they ripen.
 
Should I stop with nuts or continue for some more days? Is it true that 2 weeks before hasverst they shoud be flushed and no more nuts? does the it as much influence on their taste later on?
 
yep, keep on the nutes until the trichomes start to amber up. buy a magnifier from radioshack, they are like 7.99. as your flowering buds develop, look through the magnifier at the mushroom like caps on the trichomes, when they are uniformly amber the bud is at its peak potency. flush with pure water and no nutes for at least a week once you start to see at least 50 percent trichomes cloudy and amber. you wont be dissapointed
 
Just notice that edges are turning yellow e dryin some top leaves..
i had this problem before the beginning of flowering and flush them a litle. it solve the problem...

I know its not eat stress because temp never go up from 29ºC.
It's not P or K defeciency either.
Could be iron, magnesium or N defeciency by the sintomes no? or to much PK nuts also?..

I also read the in late flowering this is normal.

I'm thinking of flushin her but mot mutch.. just to remove excess nuts and rebance PH. then feed her with 8/14/14 slowly

What do you think?

yea, a light flush couldnt hurt, im a hydro grower so growing in soil is definately not my strong point but....id say it couldnt hurt, and yea late flower the fan leaves will start yellowing up.

your brown tips are from nute burn

you should wait a little until harvesting.. like a couple of weeks

Thanks. It seems to be the most probable cause...
I have made a light flush (just until water started running at the bottom) and now i watering with just plain water. I'm also estimating more 2 weeks to finish, so i'm probably just water with no nuts from now on...

I'm also waiting for 2 UV-B reptil lamps to arrive... for some extra potency increase in the end...

Hello all.
My setup haas changed:
Added 2 compact 26w Repti glo 10.0 UVB bulbs. they turn on 3h after day period and go off 3h before dark period. Light period is set to 12h again so this uvb stay on for 6h/day.

Light from 14h to 12h.

Made a other flush because my nut burn. so far it didn do much better ...

trichomes still very cristal...

yes you want to stop with the nutes and start with flushing. You want to stop the nutes early enough so the taste of the nutes doesnt affect the bud, and nutes are also bad for your health when smoked. 2 weeks is about a good time from your final harvest time its diff from person to person tho.
