As for size an that depends on the space you have available ive got a 1.2x1.2x2m tent and i have 5 15L in there under a 600w but if you get them you'll have sort some sort of drainage out for the run off, ive got mine in plant pot saucers and its a fucking nightmare having to lift them each one out to drain the saucer.
They air prune the roots so you dont get spiraling of the roots but you should be able to find loads of stuff about them online

Yeah I love the concept... They suggest though that it is for transplanting eventually. I want to use them all the way through harvest.
Right now I use Fox Farm Ocean Forest in 5 gallon pots. I water them every other day about until saturated and filling the catch saucer like you have Serial... Once that happens I dump it into the sump hole and put them back in. Are there watering/drainage issues with the Airpots? Do you have to water more often?

I swear by rootmaker pots.. have been using them 5 years.. You get wayy bigger root systems.. You may have to water more often once the roots are jammed in there..

serial, can you post a pic of your setup? im 4x4 feet which is very close to 1.2m x1.2m. You say you have 15l pots which are basically 4 gallon pots? Im trying to work out how many and what size for a 4x4 room.

Ijust had a quick look and there pretty much the same as air-pots, are they not?

The Airpots look much more heavy duty than the Rootmakers tho, and seem to be a similar price? I think Airpots are great so far, Ill check out the roots in a few weeks when I chop and Ill know for sure.

As for them needing more water im not sure because its my first grow with them and the girls are only 5 days old, i stuck the seedling straight in the Air-pots as soon as they showed them selves pooping out the peat plug.
Im using Bio-bizz All mix, can't get ff over here i dont think might be wrong though

I googled them and got something completely different to that, the ones i found called rootmakers looked the same as airpots but had square holes instead of round like the airpots

These have been around since 1968..
They make various styles of rootmaking material - plastics, fabrics, lightweight plastics, seeds starting trays -- everything..

I love the 5 gallon containers.

I went to the same site i think i looked at the biggest ones lol they look like airpots.
What sort of difference in yield do you get using these type of pots? because as i said i have just started using them

The root mass is way bigger on the root pots..
You could plant a 1 gallon plant in a 5 gallon bucket and have the roots go out to the sides and bottom immediately and circle... The roots don't go back to fill in the space unless they are pruned by the air..

so in root pots the roots go out to the sides, hit air, are pruned, and retreat back into the soil... all of that root mass ends up making the plant bigger and stronger..

I have some tomatoes on my deck in roots organic mix and rootpots.. and some not in rootpots.. lemme go take some pics..

I know the concept behind them i was just wondering about yield
