Air Pump Noise Reduction?

HIWAY

Good day everyone I just set up an indoor cabinet grow using bubbleponics.
I purchased a 35 watt viabrating air pump to power 6 air stones but when I pluged in the air pump the noise comming from the pump was incredible to the point where It can be heard all through the house :-?
I tried to put a box around it but all that did was make the box viabrate :wall: I am stumped . Does anyone know of a way to silence or tone down the sound of a viabrating air pump or is there a better quieter pump?:-?
Please help

Try suspending it in the air.

Try sitting it on a sponge.

I suggest you find out first, if the noise is normal, or if you got a screwed up pump. Might just be a defective pump.

Suspend it from a bungee cord, they dampen much of the vibration and it is probably mostly vibration from whatever it is sitting on rather than noise from the pump itself.

thats a big freakin air pump lol...

to make it quiet you have to isolate the vibration... stack two or ten mouse pads up underneath it... what sucks is the pump will got hot if you try to wrap it up with something... try putting it inside a small stryofoam cooler maybe? cut a hole for the hose and intake in the lid?

or you could get a big aquarium air pump... but its gonna cost you
