i have an air pump for a 60g fish tank with a bunch of T adapters and air stones... will that provide enough air to oxygenate 8 3g pots in a DWC system????

thanks guys

no it wont do the job. i have a 60gallon tetra whisper and to works fine for 2 18" air stones but any more and it would be pushing it.you should look for a nice commercial grade air pump like active air or some thing like that. i would look in the 40-70 L/H range.

18" air stones???? geez... do you mean 8" air stones? even that seems huge. i dont know how you'd even fit them in the pots. i was planning on using a couple of 2 inchers. the 70L active air pump would be perfect. 65 bucks and it even comes with the multi outlet divider i'd need. good looks, runsfromdacops. +REP.

and bca, have you done any work to the cobra? my boy just spent just shy of a grand and he's knocking on 500hp at the crank. changed the pulley on the eaton, exhaust and tune. i think that's all... damn i gotta get me one of those :)

np man thanks for the +rep. the air stones i have are in a rubbermade tub and they are actually for a bubble wall in a fish tank.

The car is just my daily driver, so its not to radicule. I did the basice bolt ons.. Off road x pipe, magnaflw cat back, upper/lower pulley, cold air and tune and it saw 470rwhp and 420ftq at 16psi.. The blowr was maxed and ran hot since i was maxing out my combo... Last summer i threw 2 focus fuel pump, 60lb injectors and a kb 2.2 with long tubes. I dropped the boost to 13 psi and it still makes a little over 500 even with less boost. But when i want to turn it up i just put a 50/50 mix of race gas 93 octane mix and add timing and itll make over 550. I would love to add the boost to 20+ psi and max the power, but like i said its my daily driver. Plus the clutch and half shalfs(rear end) dosnt hold well on 500 plus ponies... ran it about 3 weeks ago and spun out the hole with a 2.03 60ft and still pulled a 11.80s at 120+... With 20psi and good tune the car will north of 600... car runs smooth as hell with kb but when this motors goes, ill be putting a 76mm turbo, built motor and some tire and shoot for low 10s lol, one day..

that's one hell of a daily driver. i used to drive a 99 cobra, ported heads, shm cams, beefed up shortblock, tko600, 4.10's etc. and a vortech s-trim @13psi that i had for about 3 months before i kissed the guard rail in the rain. i blame the mickey thompson ET streets. the rubber makes all the difference in the world. great in nice weather, but next time im in the rain with my next ride (hopefully an 03-04) ill just pull over and have someone pick me up. :(

it sounds like it wont take much to hit low 10's at all. the power is there... maybe some new gears and r compound tires??? beautiful car though. good luck with it and hopefully you wont have to go turbo for many, many years.
