Air advice

Cooling and CO2 question. I've got a newly setup 4x8 grow tent, I put in a acfinity 8" duct fan at the top of the tent and placed a portable AC unit on the floor that also pulls air out of the tent to disperse the heat. I was told that I don't need the ACinfinity fan since I have the in tent portable AC unit and I should supplement CO2 instead. If this is the correct route (I understand there are many) then how do I control the smell coming out of the small AC duct? Or should I not worry about that as much as I would if I was using a blower fan out of the tent?

I don't feel that the ACinfinity alone can keep the temps cool enough in the summer months here in Southern CA. (was about 100 out today) Any tips, suggestions are appreciated. Criticize, make fun of me, it's all good I just want to get better at this and improve as I go.

Well if you are exhausting then you are trying to air condition the outside as my dad used to say about leaving the door open lol

They are right, AC and CO2. If you need it then a dehumidifier. Some use the room the tent is in as a lung room.

You can use the fan and carbon filter as a scrubber, set it low on the floor and have it circulate thru duct up to the top, this will equalize the air in the tent and it will scrub odor.

What renfro says.

Short answer.
Even with a sealed Co2 environment, venting is still needed.

Long answer.

Not ragging. From everything I read, the portable ACs are least desireable.

I use a 6k wall shaker AC for my 4x8x8.

Mini splits are the bomb. $$$
