aeroponic

in an aeroponic setup should the water be spraying constantly on the roots or is it better to put them on a timer. I asked this before but got 2 different answers and both were very vague.

it depends. is your aeroponic setup using sprayers/mysters, or foggers?

i am using sprayers from 2 pond pumps

Im not sure on pond pump sprayers never heard of them being used.You wanna make sure the water is a super fine mist so its aerated really good. I use micro sprayers cost about 40 to 65 cents each go about 6-8 gph and use a 1000 gph minimum pond pump for 28-32 jets.I run mine 24 hours aday but have also heard suggested if you have a good cycle timer to have it shut off for 15 minutes every hour ,all day long every day ,is also a good cycle.
