Aero on Steroids

Hello and welcome to the start or something amazing. For a little background information, this will be my 4th grow. My third is still growing but I will be cutting them down soon to make room for this grow. All of my past grows have produced many beautiful buds but they were all from bag seed. I have yet to get a head change with anything I have grown witch is very frustrating and disappointing. So I have received real seeds and I plan on using everything I have read to make sure this will be amazing.

For the first grow with the new system I will be growing three auto White Russians and a White Dwarf. I want to use auto for the first grow not only for the speed but mainly because nothing I have grown before has had any affect. Need to get my confidence up. After the first grow I will start some WW, Blue Venom, and a Alaskan Ice. These will turn into my future mothers. As you can see I have an infatuation with White Widow. The last time I was in Amsterdam (1999) I tried it and have been a dedicated fan ever since.

The following is what I have built and put together today.

I picked the Toro Fogger because from what I have read it disperses liquid better than the other heads I found.

I have not made up my mind as far as how much I will be using these on a daily basis. Right now I am leaning towards running them when I am not running the foggers. If I do them both at the same time it probably will not be as effective. I will also be using a coco medium.

I have one other air stone just like this that I will also be using.

I used this to seal all extiorer joints. :joint:

I really did not want to resort to these but I could not think of any other way. My original plan was to run PVC around the box from the pump. Fit the foggers directly in the PVC. That did not work though. The foggers would not give (bend) enough to get them in while keeping the back pressure needed. So I am using tubing and this converter. The system I have going right now is using one of these converters and it has worked. On this converter I have two foggers for every outlet.

In the past I have always used Roughnecks but after looking at this I knew this was going to become the perfect container. It is very sturdy and has a tight seal around all of the edges. With this box I can fill it up and go out of town for up to two weeks.

I need some help in deciding the placement of the neoprene inserts and baskets. I keep reading that the 4" baskets with the neoprene cup lids are the best ones to use. If anyone knows a trick to cut out the circle I would appreciate a heads up.

I do realize it is hard to make out but it is about 13" deep.

Here you can see the water level indicator and the PVC I have connected to the pump to make it easy to drain the water.

It was not much fun putting these foggers together. There going to be great though.

Next steps:

Finish building racks that the box will sit on and support the 400 watt reflector.

Buy the following

400 watt Lumitek ballast ($150 Shipped)

Arctic Sun Reflector ($107 Shipped)

50 pound carbon scrubber ($120 Shipped)

Water Chiller (there are a couple that I am looking at)

Hanna Combo PH/EC/TDS tester

Advanced Nutrients products that I will be using:

Sensi Grow Part A/B

Connoisseur Part A

Connoisseur Part B

Scorpion Juice

Final Phase

As everything continues to come together I will keep everything updated. If anyone has any opinions good or bad I would love to hear them. I have many long term plans for this system so this should be fun.

I think you will find the foggers are a waste of time and effort.

Take them back and get a refund if you can.

Build a spray jet aero system.

That's a nice system you have there. I like it. I am actually looking at designing a cloning machine like this. Also, excellent choice of nutes. Have you used the Connoisseur before? I have always been really curious about this product. It is so expensive, so I've always been wondering if it is truly worth it? Cheers!
