I'm looking to finally invest some money into growing after 2 successful grows in my closet using CFL's.
I'm going to be buying either a 2x2 or a 32"x32" tent within the next few weeks. I'm probably going to keep using my shit CFL reflector I made for the time being. It's running 6 bulbs and I plan to just flower 1 at a time as it's just for personal. What sort of exhaust/intake system do I need? And when I do go to purchase an actual light, is the Mars 300w(just an example) enough for that size tent for 1 or 2 flowering plants, or should I look for something else?

Hi how are you today? Lets see what we got here, this section will help alot and the one above it is LED, lots of fine info. https://www.rollitup.org/f/stealth-micro-cab-growing.125/ Now if it were me, I would run a 4" inline in two places for quietness, insulated ducting, activated carbon sock filter (homemade) and the mars light or two large cfl things there like a foot long. 2 plants flat scrogged veged for 1 month and flipped. thats me, what are you going to do? Welcome aboard great to see new growers.

Go HID over Mars man. Mars is junk. 3w chips won't get you over two zips without a long ass veg. For about the same price you can get an Apollo or ipower hid setup with reflector and ballast (400 watt kit run about 120-140$ usd). On Amazon of course.

As for tent go bigger. 32x32 seems ok. I had 2x2x4 and k was hating myself for going with a small tent about half way into flower ran out of vertical space.

Buy a 6 in inline fan, a carbon filter and you're good to go. Maybe a fan speed controller as well.

Since you have some grows under your belt it shouldn't be too hard of a setup to get use too.

a 150w HPS would fit pretty nice in a tent that size but the 150w hps from sunsystem I have does not come with any exhaust built into the housing so that might hurt a tent that size if you cant circulate the airflow and vent out the heat somehow

It doesnt put out nowhere as much heat as a 400w hps im guessing but it will raise temps about 5 degrees or so on a really warm day in the summer if you have no air conditioning in your home.

They are running around on different sites for like $50-$60, but keep in mind the model I have comes with built in ballast and ONLY takes a hps bulb out of the box. Maybe with some engineering it could be made to accept a MH bulb but this little light is serving me well so far and maybe after couple grows under my belt, I may upgrade to 400w or 600w down the road. Good Luck!
