I wanted some opinions on defoliation and was hoping people could share their experience with it...

Do you do it?

If so, when and how much?

Do they need time to recover before switching to flower?

My plants are so fucking bushy. It's just a cluster fuck of leaves. I mean, it's getting hard to water them LOL. I wanted to see what u guys think.

Thanks everybody for the replies. So far everyone seems to be anti defoliation. But for the people who DO defoliate, are there any benefits at all? Just curious...

I do not defoliate in veg. Bloom however indoors has benefits to doing so. In the indoors section is a current thread on defoliating and when to do it. Look up "are my plants too crowded?" sorry don't know how to do links. In that thread is a couple links you need to read.

Take the leaves off where there is a branch coming. I take leaves when the branch has a leaf set.
Otherwise, take off branches that don't get light so you don't get fluff on bottom
