Adding inch of soil to seedling?

Don't think I've seen this asked before. Would it be OK to go ahead an fill the cups up with additional soil. Give the plant some support? Cut an inch of the stretching?

Is this possible without doing any harm.

Yup, should be just fine.

you can do it, in fact the area you cover up with soil (if it's still in the veg state) will form more roots.

Yeah good to go since they are so young. Later on when they get harder addition of soil around the base can cause trunk rot.
