adding 8 florecent tubes to my 1000 watt hps

hi im groing in a 6x6 area and i have a 1000 watt hps for flowering, its week 6 and my buds are just starting to get bigger, there in 2 gallon pots. do you think it would do any good to add 6 or 8 40 watt flourescent tubes to the flowering room 6 weeks into flower. do you guys think it will make a diffrence.

Yeah go ahead. I do the same thing. I hang a shop light on the sides for supplemental lighting just to keep the dark areas more green. It works well and the popcorn buds put on a little more weight this way. You can see the right side with the shop light is taller than the left.
