Adding 150watt hps to 480watt led grow; crazy or genius?

I'm planning on switching my lighting setup for my 4x4 grow area from the 600watt hps I've been using for years to a QB led setup of around 480watts. The main thing that's worrying me, and I'm not sure how to address is the lack of IR moving away from hps. So I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to get a small 150watt hps light for around $75 and put it in the middle of the tent, with led surrounding it. That way I get the best of both worlds and a bit of IR from the hps. Is this a crazy idea, or genius?

My hope when moving to led was to reduce power consumption, and this wouldn't really do that, but maybe I'd get bigger better buds with that setup and it would be worth it. The other idea is a 315w cmh in the middle with 200w led to supplement the cmh. Thoughts?

Running higher ambient temps would allow you just to use the 480w. Also plenty of options for adding IR with separate led diodes. HPS wouldn’t hurt either.

I run my lights at night when it's colder because the power rates are way lower. I never had to worry about it getting too cold because of the HPS heat, but now I think it's something that I need to consider in switching to led. Is IR from led very effective compared to what I might get from the small hps?

To be honest I’m not well versed on red ir from led diodes. I would think the hps would benefit with added heat, reds you are looking for and some more lumens.
