Well stated.
What I believe is most poignant about the lawsuit is the protection a victory would offer patients who choose to possess or even make their own concentrates.
"In Arizona, however, extracts – as well as edibles made with them – fall in a legal gray area.
A handful of officials, including Maricopa County Attorney William Montgomery, have indicated that the state’s criminal laws do not allow for such products, threatening prosecution against both patients and dispensaries."
Secondly, beyond clear legal protection for patients I think we all agree that the spirit of the AMMA was designed to protect the use of concentrates for medical use. As Irieie points out in another recent post - it’s ironic how the State of Arizona continues to fight the very laws we pay them to implement, oversee and uphold.

Agree 100%. Political motives are creating so much stupidity with the AMMA from what I can tell. I'm not sure what made it possible to ban this stuff after the law was passed but I can't believe after 3 years these issues are still lingering around and being contested. When I got my card a few months ago after moving back here I had thought that the law just passed or something because of how much confusion and disarray that I experienced in getting my card and visiting some dispensaries.
Smoking concentrates are the best way for me to medicate and also doesn't cost me as much usually. It hasn't quite hit AZ yet and there are lots of patients I run into that have never dabbed. Once this legal stuff gets cleared up lots of patients will be in for a treat. Smoking flowers to medicate seems ancient to me and doesn't work nearly as well after being around so much great concentrate in other medical states.
It clearly states in the law what the definitions are of some words that were put into it to avoid this type of political nonsense...

8. "Marijuana" means all parts of any plant of the genus cannabis whether growing or not, and the seeds of such plant.
15. "Usable marijuana" means the dried flowers of the marijuana plant, and any mixture or preparation thereof, but does not include the seeds, stalks and roots of the plant and does not include the weight of any non-marijuana ingredients combined with marijuana and prepared for consumption as food or drink.
