Hello all. Live in Illinois. Got grow tent in bedroom. have the Infinity inline fan and the carbon filter. Where are you all exhausting the air to ?
3 White Widdow in flower stage. Wow, strong !! I am exhausting in the room. Walk in the house, and you can smell it. To cold to go outside with the exhaust. What do ya`ll do in the winter ? I have a ranch house with crawlspace.
I thought that the filter system would take out the smell, but NOT !!

is the ac infinity fan shutting off from the controller? You may want to buy the controller 67 to set up a minimum fan speed, it is an upgraded controller.

I haven't bought one yet because the shipping is outrageous!

a way around this may be just not using the temp/humidity settings and just setting a constant "on" fan speed at whatever speed is needed to maintain temps

Where in line is your fan and filter?

Should be hole in lower part of tent for intake,
fan up high pulling air up and through the filter. Exhaust to a dryer vent you can put in a window.

Fan and filter can be inside or outside of the tent if height is a concern.

tHANKS PAL !!1 Fan up high. Have vents on both sides down low. Just suprised to have tha much smell.

Do you have the ac infinity filter or another brand? Their filters are ok. I've used cheaper imports and more costly and to be honest can't really tell much difference. I am using their fans and filters now and the smell (multiple plants in flower) is barely perceptible when I enter the room the tents are in but not anywhere else, and I don't exhaust to outside. My fans and filters are mounted inside the tents and exhaust out the top of the tent. I normally keep them on fairly low settings 3-4. I'm sure you already know, but the filter's air flow is one direction, so make sure you didn't install it backwards. Also make sure it's mounted/sealed well to the fan or any duct is sealed well otherwise it will suck unfiltered air in through leaks (the path of least resistance) and push unfiltered air into your room.

You are only going to take so much skunk out of a cubic foot of air with a filter. Some filters might be better than others but none are 100%.

Now if you take the same cubic foot of air and run it through the filter over and over again you will remove more of the smell.

So the solution is, run the air through the carbon filter over and over again to remove the smell and then exhaust it. Easier said than done however.

Thankks for the info pal. Yes, it is an Ac Infinity filter.

As mentioned above they aren't perfect. If you need 100%, add a HEPA air cleaner to the home. It will capture the rest.

I vent out. At peak smell, it is noticeable within 5 feet of the vent only.

Mountain air filters, everything else is garbage in comparison.

Run a filter/fan inside and another outside your tent, no more weed smell.

It seems you have all the information you need here.
I haven't seen you reply yet to helpful posts though,
Like mentioned above, your carbon filter is either undersized, old, or you do not have constant negative pressure in the tent.

You shouldn't have an issue with smell

Just exhausting it from the tent to the AC filter and then scrubbing. I’ve used Phat filters. I just was wondering the quality of the ac t series filters for scrubbing. I’d rather use a complete ac filter and fan combo, if it’s quality for scrubbing opposed to mixing phat and ac.

I have the 4 and 6" AC models. ive used them in both setups, pulling thru the filter and exhausting outside, and fan pulling from tent and pushing into filter. both setups work fine and zero smell. I prefer having them outside the tent to save space.

previously you could smell my grow a block away and my lady told me I needed an exterminator bc I must have a skunk living under the house ;) once I added the filters you couldn't smell anything.

Yup, this. I added one after my fan and almost no smell. Neither are oversized, but that defo would help even more.

I was looking at the 4” Cloudline T series. Yeah I like to keep them outside of the tent as well, when possible. Cool, thanks for the heads up. My fan that I have now sounds like a jet propeller on low. I like the cooling aspect that AC offers, if it works properly, the decrease in temp would help with smell too. Damn good to know. Lol. I was just shocked at the price of the combo, for the stated efficiency. I’ll run it and let you know how it goes.
