Well hello people, I've been thinkin about going outdoor this year just to try it out and see what its like. Been thinking about this since 09', so now Im actually trying to set in place the steps to be somewhat successful when I do.

A lil background, this isnt my first grow...I've been indoors since I started a few years ago so I know a lil bit (Still fine tuning my green thumb lol). I have a plant now from seed thas been growing for 2-3 weeks, it stretched some cause of lighting where it was sitting for a while under CFLs. I wanna put this one plant outside and just let it do what it does. I stay in an apartment and behind my complex there's woods where I kno no1 is ever at and there's a high way running behind the woods so it's no accessible like that from the highway side. Ill try to get some pics tomorrow and post the scenery around.

My dilemma is since it is an apartment, I'm all about stealth and only want to feed like once a week or once every week and a half. I can go out more of course but just to be safe i'd like to limit traffic. I've heard u can use actual fish from the grocery store and put it in a hole and let it decompose some, ?? is does it matter what type of fish and how long should I put out before I place my plant outside? I'm open to other ferts besides fish but I read the good thing about it is, it can feed a plant for a while without other necessary additives. Just trying to piece together some things..any help would be appreciated.

Hmmn, nothing lol sheesh..well I'll continue to look for an answer. If all else fails I guess ill manual administer the ferts.

Just amend your plot with some organic tomato ferts according to the instructions. You can go a bit stronger but don't over do it. Fish in a hole works (it works/ed for the indians) but your asking for trouble. Animals can smeel it and start to dig up your plant to find it. If you can also add coco, peat moss, compost... things that will add airation, drainage and water holding capabilities. If you use peat moss add some lime too.

Thank you cazador I appreciate the response sir! And yea I've heard that about fish too, how it can lead to unwanted critters lingering around. I think that organic tomato fert sounds good though, ?? though..is it readily available at stores like Wally World and Lowes. I have a hydroponics store in town that I go to, but juss wondering?

Are u running anything right now?

I have been using, Advanced Nutrients, Heavy Harvest. Kinda expensive, but I have piece of mind with that product. Any time release can do, just scale back on usage, its kinda like shampoo, you know, apply rinse and repeat. No one really repeats the process, as with your outdoor ferts. they just want you to use product. Oh and good dirt goes a long way. Never stop experimenting either, try new stuff, who knows, but thats the wonder of outdoor growing, very large margin of error. Good Luck to ya.:peace:

With everything else available, I'd skip whole fish.

Fish emulsion is inexpensive and contains all the nutes from fish.

Better yet, what the guys mention above is the good stuff.

I just use everything that is available.

Best of luck.

Bubba Kush - they should have organic ferts at both Wally World and Lowes as well as any nursery plant store or farm store. Get a bag of "Dr. Earth" (Organic 5™ Tomato, Vegetable & Herb Fertilizer 5-7-3 or "Down to Earth"(All Purpose Mix 4-6-2) or something similar. As roundplanet said too, “good soil goes a long way” if you can amend the planting site with some peat moss and or coco and some perlite, this will help retain water and improve aeration

Sweet, well thanx you guys. I'm about to throw it outside this weekend and see what happens. I'm going to Lowes and my hydro store to look into some of those nutes u mentioned. I'm really interested in seeing what outdoors is going to turn out like..
