A quick AC question

Hello everyone... I have a room about 12x12 and need to implement some type of AC system. The problem is, this room is in the interior of the building... meaning no walls of the room are exterior walls. I need to accomplish this as cheaply as possible.

I was looking into portable AC units but it seems like they need to be vented to exterior, is this the case? If so, are there any alternative systems? I've heard people mention a "mini-split" system and I'm not sure if that's what I'm looking for.

I appreciate any input.

yeah mini split systems need no venting, but they need a small line to pass from compressor to the blower, it can have heat and dry mode too. the compressor can be put on exterior of building.

Sounds expensive. How much does something like that cost?

Yeah, I think that the cost of installation on top of the already hefty price tag would push it out of range financially. Is that the only way I can keep the room completely sealed with AC running?

can you vent any off the adjoining rooms? a window mounted AC doesn't have to vent outside but it will heat up any area it vents to. a friend had an ac window unit that vented into his garage & during the summer, a widow & back door open in the garage was enough to keep it reasonable.

To be honest, this is actually for a small server room at a library I volunteer at. I was thinking the same. Either venting it into the main floor, or back into the staff area. The problem is, I don't know how much heat these things actually put off and don't want to make one area or the other uncomfortable. ESPECIALLY for staff. Do they get very hot or do you think that it would dissipate quickly enough to not make an area overly warm? See attachment to get an idea of what the layout is like.

That actually seems like a good idea. I'll have to check the room to verify there's a return in there... I feel like there must be since it's a sealed room... I'll also have to figure out of it's possible to rig up a coupler for it. (A lot of the vents in the library are very long, slim slits in the wall.)

Nooo way. My grow is at a location I own. I just didn't know where else to go for this kind of info... I figured it was similar to cooling a sealed grow room and knew there's some brains here with the knowledge I'm looking for. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Buy a portable ac 1200 btu at least vent Exaust hose into attic

if the attic has a hole at its end where it could escape, then you can exhaust there. for totally sealed rooms you need co2 and a/c. fresh air is not only for temps but for fresh CO2
