A Question for the HVAC pros out there...

So, I am setting my grow space back up after a massive tear down and cleaning to kill a small powdery mildew problem and am considering my environment control options. I have the GL240 Grow Tent and am thinking of setting it up for vertical lighting and larger plants than the aero setup I was using before. That will likely eat up most of the available floor space inside the tent, not leaving a whole lot of room for air conditioner or dehumidifier. After searching the web for solutions, I came across split ductless A/C's like this one.

My question to you gurus of all that is heating, ventilation and air conditioning, can this unit work given that the air handler would be mounted at a max. height of 6 ft. inside the tent? The refrigerant lines would be snaked out the tent utility ports and then out the window to the compressor outside.

Question 1: Is this a semi-viable solution? I realize that it won't be super efficient, but can it work? This would be to compensate for the heat from 2400-3000 watts of bare bulb HID lighting.

Question 2: I realized early on that I won't be able to install this unit completely on my own. Does the installer have to have access to the air handler unit? Can I set up the air handler unit and the refrigerant line connections myself and just leave the outside line connections and vacuum pump stuff to the installer?

The installer would need access to the airhandler it sounds like you could do this yourself. If you need help with something specific PM me and I'm sure I can explain what you need to do.
