Ok so ....if I'm growing in a space 76" x 76" x 76" (six and a third foot square)

How much light will I need?

(This will b my first "grow room")

Will a single 400 watt (MH / HPS) be enough ..or will I need a 600 ...or maybe a whole K (1000)?

Or...if 400 aint enough - would it be better to get two 250s or two 400s to evenly cover the area.....

Any opinions are welcome....

Oh...maybe I should say....Im going to be growing Hydro - Aeroponics.

Thanks in advance

Jae

thats almost 4 square meters, you can do 4x600 or 4x1000 more light=more yield
Mo green uses 2x1000w for a 3x7....see more buds dvd 1 on youtube bro check this guy out, you can do like 5LBs in your space if you like

also consider before purchasing any lights, they get hot, super hot will make your room 130f if you dont take care of it, invest in air cooled hoods and make proper intake and exhaust for your space, also if you dont do all that, the water in your hydro resivour will get too warm and kill your roots, need strong fans to keep the hood cool, 400w and 600w can be easily cooled with a $25 6inch 160cfm duct fan, 1000w will need a hardcore 450cfm fan more like $150,,,this is why i believe the 600w are more popular

it depends on how many plants u got 400w 4-6plants but i got 600w for 5 plants..if i were u i would probably get to 400w i like the idea of lower wattage and more light

you need at least 1800w of hps for that space and like morris said that is a lot of heat.....

btw that is 40 sq ft not 6.33

your best bet would be to throw a pair of 600's or even 1k's on a light mover in there, otherwise go with 4 lights
