A question about indoor buds

what is the AVERAGE weight of a fully grown and dried plant grown indoors?

I have been reading on here, and was disappointed. I have heard of people only getting about 1.5 oz per plant.

Then again a guy I know said he usually gets around 4oz per plant.

What can you come to expect on AVERAGE from indoor grown plants?

i am getting 2.5-3 in aeroponics, but it depends on the strain, an auto flower would get 1oz maybe 2 if grown right, i am growing OG Kush and fully expect 2-3 oz per plant.

depends mostly on veg time and genetics so that guy was probably vegging for 3 months or something. i got a qp once off a single plant but it was huge before flowering.

average is prob just what you said 1.5 or maybe even one oz per.

unfortunately there is no standard AVERAGE. The statistical data isn't there, plus there are so many different factors that go into it. There is no real answer to your question.

of course there is an average. we just dont know what it is exactly. but this guy was asking and i gave him my opinion on what is average based on what i see on here and in my grows.

Too many variables bro, most times tho 2-3 zips is about right for an experienced grower, growing plants straight up like a tree.

Now if you LST, you can get much more per plant, or if you ScROG you get better yield for the space etc.... See where this is going? :)

all you can do is guess based on different factors, most importantly whether it's soil/hydro, and what the lighting is.

soil - CFL: not much more than 3/4 oz per plant
soil - HID: 1-2 ounces per plant

hydro - CFL: probably not much more than 1 oz/plant
hydro - HID: 2-3 oz per plant, or more

a lot also depends on the strain, and whether the grower over-feeds or under-feeds, as well as 50 other factors, but those are rough estimates assuming the plant isn't in some crazy 20,000w, 1LB/plant yielding hydro setup. so yeah...

Here's the short and skinny:

1. Different strains grow at vastly different rates and have vastly different yields.

2. The longer you veg a plant, the bigger it gets. Some MJ plants can reach 20 feet in height if grown outdoors with proper nutrients and care and yield 5-10 lbs of dried bud.

3. Since there are so many different ways to grow, soil, organic, hydro, etc. You're going to end up with big differences there too.

The only way to gauge yield would be to previously have grown the strain under similar conditions and then estimating based off of previous experience.
