A question about CLONES

Hey everyone. So my friends is a clone guy and im a seed guy. We are planning next years adventure and he is saying he wants to use his clones. I have concerns that I would like someone that is familiar with cloning to answer. He is on his 8th or 9th of generation of clone, and I herd that once you go past the 2nd generation, you lose quality and plant resilience. Is this true?

FALSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a clone is an exact genetic make up of the plant its cut from. im running the same strain for 26 months (clone after clone after clone after clone.......) and this plant is still kicking out 4-5 zips per plant is and super POTENT!!!! I would put it right next to my gorilla glue strain for a tie for 1st place.

I prefer clones to seeds for outdoor, just for the fact that you know what your planting.
Starting from seeds, they usually seem to be a bit sturdier(especially at first) But like I said, you know what you got with the clones(hopefully, lol)
I prefer to do my work with the seeds indoor, than clone for the outdoor. We grow huge trees either way though;-)

Thanks for all the input you guys gave. Ok now I feel a bit more comfortable planting his clones. His strain has never been tested outdoors, and he thinks it will explode, which I believe it will too because naturally all plants thrive outside in their natural habitat. Regardless I am still planting some seeds8-) I was looking into BC bud depot this time around, any recommendations?
