California man snagged by drug date sting

Craig's list now the best place for the police to find lonely men with weed.

CAMARILLO, Calif. -- Ventura County Sherriff's officials have arrested a 29-year-old high school teacher who brought pot to a date at a motel room with an undercover deputy.
Officials said Monday that Ashrof Boulos Hindi was snagged by an investigator who was looking into online drug deals.
The investigator contacted Hindi using the Craigslist website by posing as a date-seeking female. The department says Hindi sought to entice the investigator with drugs and alcohol.
When he arrived Saturday at a Motel 6 in Camarillo, deputies awaiting him found he had a small amount of marijuana. A small amount of cocaine was found in his Los Angeles County home.
Hindi was arrested on suspicion of transporting and possessing drugs and is being held on $50,000 bail.
Directory assistance had no telephone listing for Hindi.
I am so glad our tax dollars are well spent. Maybe he had some sticky socks too. I hope they looked for those as well.

How does this not qualify as entrapment? Ruining his life this way is the true crime. Even if he wins in court he still will lose his job.

Do you think $50,000 bond was enough for such a dangerous criminal? (sarcasm)

Good thing we can take his property now as well.

They have to justify the Over Time...

What would have happened?

Dude would get a nut, spend time with another Human Being and share a happy smoke.

Wow Real Crime that deserves Three Strikes!

on a side note if you are walking around with drugs in your pocket to meet a stranger in a motel room, you are just looking for trouble...

legalize weed, legalize hookers. have cops spend the time lost from that on something better (maybe HELPING someone?).

Yea that's right, dude should have *hid* his little stash somewhere outside of the hotel, I suppose it was at night so it should have been easy. I guess by the sound of his name, he didn't live in Amerikkka long enough to know about the fascist NARC problem. so he could have hid it, then when the notorious PIG goes to bust mr. hash, they will feel pretty fucking stupid when they don't find JACK on him, and some pigs would get punished for wasting valuable police time and resources on bogus drug busts. God dammit. Motherfuckers, 50K bail? Pffff.... I had a 5k bail once, and I smashed $10K of some private property. This guy has some doobies and OMFG He is a child pornography king pin!!!! bastards...

Well, let's petition to spend proceeds of the State Lottery on the War on Drugs, so that way none of the good useful tax money gets fucking wasted on shit that a bad economy doesn't benefit from :)
I wonder what the cost of "Operation Bust the Lonely Guy" cost us?

i still think the guy was an idiot to talk about drugs n stuff with a perfect stranger he met online.

i would've gotten high before, or after or something.

i mean a cop would be pretty direct about it. they can't say 'dank' or snow or any other weird slang terms.... they have to have words like MARIJUANA and COCAINE, and amounts and some sort of negotiation about how he'll meet somebody so they had access to his house.

having this guy off the street prob. saved some people on this very forum a very rough encounter with police...

Like any of us know the next guy?

Think about it.. The Alias is like a magic cloak we think makes us invisible.

Anyway I think we all know what it's like to think with our lonely pecker. Right?

why did they search his house?!
I think it's probable cause at least.

I would assume it's standard investigation. I think you see the violation of the date as enough of an embarrassment and I would agree with you.

we're missing something.

i know somewhat about the law, and what it looks like is that they used language very specific to drug dealing when dealing with this poor fellow.

he was thinking that it was a party night fucking a stranger. they worded it as if the purpose of the meeting was to deal drugs...

anyways, i get laid the old fashioned way, by meeting somebody and either getting to know them or getting them drunk.... who am i kiddin i'm already settled down with a nice lady... :P
