A little problem and need some help asap

So I am setting up a new system I scooped up for a steal at a medical marijuana expo. it is a mega room which has an areoflow 30 aeroponics system wich has three rows of 10 each for 30 total plants. the lighting is 3 sunblaze48 4' 8 lamp fixtures. each fixture has 4-4' 300k lamps and 4-4' 6500k lamps. also all the extras like fans, nuits,ect...The problem is it also has a 7' 10"x 3' 11" x 6' 7" >>>the 7' 10" part is the issue at hand. This is my first time using T5 high output flourecent lighting and ideally i need to cut the tent post's about 3-4 inches. with that setup, will i ever need my lights to the full tent height, or will i be ok with the quick trim down job. Any help would be greatly appreciated because i am sitting here after 12hrs of room setup with nothing but that tent on my mind. Thanks in advance

I use 4' 8 bulb T5HO just for veg, and what I noticed is from seed the plants did there best when lights stayed above tops 22-24" until they reached 18" then they liked to be closer with no problems (18-20"). Now the clones from those plants like to be 17-20" away.

Sorry, kinda forgot to mention I'm a newbie, but I am confident and know i can study and learn along the way. but that sounded liike a go ahead and cut away, unless i missed something...lol..I'll wait for the green light reply before i bust out the saw. I will be using this site a hell of alot I'm sure so c ya around..Thanks!

Why would you cut the size down?

my ceiling in the room is too low should I just set it up somewhere else, or ya think 3" lower would still work?

how bout in a bedroom without all the plasice n duct tape all over? it is a tent so it kinda already protected from bad stuff...right??

I would hate to cut it. If there is somewhere else you can put it, well that would be better. But no 3" will not bother it, unless the cuts where not even.

A long overdue thanks, but i resolved by getting more equipment and just letting the whole thing overtake the house and gonna move out into an apartment in town so space is no longer an issue...lol Sure i will be talkin to ya again sometime soon, almost time for the babies to be born Thanks again!
