A good problem to have...

Yo! I came across a super rad deal today. It was a total of 160 miles and cost of $100 bucks. This is what I got:

2 - 1000w Hydrotek Red Ballasts
2 - 1000w HydroFarm Ballast
1 - 1000w Xtrasun Ballast (120 or 240)
1 - ValueBrite 6" Air Cooled Reflector with Glass (NIB)
2 - 8" Plastic "cool tube like" light tubes
2 - 1000w Hortolux Bulbs (good)

I was on craigslist and I found a posting that screamed, "I have no idea what I have." The ad didn't even say what it all was and no price. I offered her $60 as is and I told her that if she could make a list of the stuff I would make her a real offer. I also told her that if she is just looking to clear it out, I could have it all gone by tonight. I got an email saying she would take 100 clams. I told her done im on my way. 80 miles later I was the owner of all that stuff.

So here is my question. What ballasts should I keep? Would any of you dudes rank them for me or something? I want to know what to keep.

Well I couldnt tell you wich are the best Im not sure of the specs. Are any electronic ballasts? If so these are better. They consume less power and preserve bulb life. But man thats an f'n great deal. To bad she didnt have a bunh of plants that she said looks like weeds growin and didnt know what they were either.

I am pretty sure that they are plain jane ballasts. None of the boxes say anything about them being electric.

HPS or MH? SOCKETS, CORDS, ECT...? ANY BULBS? DO YOU KNOW HOW TOO GROW? LOL, just kidding. Fire each of them up. Figure what works and what dont. Look at the tags on the ballasts. Most standard ballasts are marked M59-watts for Metal Halide. S51-watts for HPS. Look at the serial plates and the wires. Nice SCORE! Whats that craigslist link?

I have gone through them and they all work. These are all HPS with extra sockets, cords, and I once read a forum about growing.
