A friend died the other day and we found out yesterday.

Place: Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada
Location: Zellers plaza mall

The roof collapsed and fell on about 30 people, it was all concrete. The search went on for days and we had kept hope alive with roumers of hearing tapping from survivors.

Yesterday they pulled the last body out and it was my friend, she was mangled and folded in half the wrong way. This could have been avoided as the safety inspector was the same one for the last 10 years and had checked off the place regularly as safe despite gaping hols in the roof that let buckets of water in.

That inspector might see prison for this ... accessory to negligent homicide. cn

Meager consolation, i know. I'm thinking good thoughts for the survivors ... they're the ones hurting.

I'm truly sorry for your loss & pray for your and her family's healing.
Peace.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I've lost at least one friend every year for the last 7 and it never gets easier. The older we get, the more invasive death seems in our lives. I truly do believe that with every death of an individual brings life of another. Nothing but positive thoughts for you and yours.
