97 cent 42 watters at wallmart

So I was in Walmart today looking at cfl's, I grabed a bulb off the top shelf and went to scan it at the little price check thing and it said .97. I thought maybe it was broken and suppossed to say 9.70 so I took it to the register and checked it and sure enough it was 97 cents. I think it's because im in southern california and they're trying to get people to conserve energy. But if anyone else is in so cal theyre a good deal, 42 watts 2700 kelvin was the only temperature they had but they did have 26 watts that were like 5300 I think, and they were even a little bit cheaper. Sorry if someone already posted about this.

That is a 2-pack and seems to be rated at 12,000 hours; which is double that of the one from the OP, but still. I wouldn't pay that for those. Home Depot has 68w(300w equiv) for $15, and these things are no joke.
