Yah thats right i got that underdog feeling now but who said underdogs can't come up on top . Got 7 plants under 5 cfls 2 are on 12/12 and the rest is 24/0. So any comments?? negative or positive doesnt matter all opinions welcome. And I'm hoping to get 5 Gs per plant lol

What true wattage are the CFLs? What spectrums? 2 really critical questions to determine if you're getting anything that you might consider decent in terms of yield vs what you're doing.

My rule of thumb for CFL's

Minimum - 100(real)W CFL for 1 plant, and at least an additional 50(real)W for every extra plant.

I use a 3:1 ratio of lights for a fuller spectrum. Veg 3x6500K, and 1x3000K. Flower is the other way around (but I recommend HID).

Place the CFL's 2 - 3in above the canopy for best light penetration.

I use cheap assed vanity mirror light fixtures (cheaper/better than y-splitters, imo), and the reflector is a flattened piece of 8in vent pipe.

Good luck

i went with everything rated for 660w fixtures 14g wire and lots of splitters altogether about 350w all in a 4 sqft room.
