6x4x6 Flower Walk-in wardrobe Need help choosing Light and Cooling **

:leaf:Hello fellow growers.

1st off this will be my 1st time growing. My Budget is £700 ($1050~)

I will be growing in soil for my 1st but i was planning on hydro but my budget is too small to start off hydro. (dont want to build my own sucky hydro system.)

Im not looking for instructions just guidance on my decision making. I will need to be ordering my parts in the next few days and would like to get it right.
I was hoping some of the more expert growers could advise me on what they would do in order to achieve high yields, in my case im going for around 1lb or 17+ oz. I didnt really want to go more than 8 plants but really its how many i need to get my weight.

In terms of yield, what is the best way i can achieve this in my current situation?

My veg room is going to be in a grow tent in my garage, 400W MH.
My flowering room was going to be run by a 1000W HPS

Has anyone got a cost effective solution to how i can keep this Flowering room cool.
Im going to need a carbon filter also.

So PLEASE check out my pics :leaf::leaf:

Dimensions are as follows:

Small Section - Length 1ft 9 (53cm) Width 3ft 9 (112cm) Height 4ft (120cm)
Larger Section - Length 4ft 1 (123cm) Width 3ft 9 (112cm) Height 5ft 9 (173cm)

what i would do is get a cool tube for the HPS becuase that will generate alot of heat, for the Vege a simper exuast fan and intake fan would be fine

cool, but for flowering, if i wanted to get around 4oz per plant, how long would u think i would have to veg for on a 400W MH to come close.

and do mean that itd be more worth it to buy an aircooled HPS, then an exhaust fan for my environment. Also, where would i put my carbon filter

generally it goes Carbon filter > duct > cool tube > duct > blower >exhaust out

when you are looking for a larger yield, look to Liquid Light from Dutch Master
http://www.dutchmaster.com.au/?language=english&page=product&product=GOLD_RANGE_LIQUID_LIGHT
check my journal for proof.

As far as budget and fans go,

http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=s&hl=en&q=dayton+blower&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=7549132478835441554&ei=H8vqS8mBAovSsgPl0KH-Bw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CDAQ8wIwAw#ps-sellers

that should replace your air about once a minute with a good intake fan, one like this located near the bottom of the chamber,

http://www.google.com/products/catalog?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=s&hl=en&q=dayton+blower&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=7549132478835441554&ei=H8vqS8mBAovSsgPl0KH-Bw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CDAQ8wIwAw#ps-sellers

the cool tube is for sure worth it BTW,

and when it comes to veg room, consider these,

http://aeroponicsnmore.com/lighting-equipment-light-fixtures-c-1_13/quantum-t5-badboy-4-multi-lamp-holds-4-6-8-or-12-lamps-p-88

far less heat to deal with than a HID system and you can attach them to the underneath of shelving for an easy multi tier veg tent

So your saying i would get better results in my grow tent with t5 florescents and this fixture? because its around the same price. you think the grow tent would get too hot with a 400W
MH and just the 8 plants with an oscillating fan blowing them?

Trying to save a little money by buyng the parts seperately.
So far i found a Cooltube 6" for £45 with shipping
i heard that the superhps 1000W is best bulb to get not sure if its true. but £50 also.
only problem now is trying to find a 1000W Digital ballast for around £100.
or do i really need a digital ballast? is it worth it? or would it be better to save and get another 600W cooltube

if you have a long enough cord where you can store the ballast somewhere other than in the room with the plants you'll be fine.

AS far as results go, I use a Feliz CFL for veg, you can see them in my journal. I have seen the badboys in action at the local hydro store and the plants look just as good as the ones under the MH if not better. The bad boy was suggested because you could expand the useable area in your tent if shelves were used along with the badboy light. With just the one light you are severly limited IMO. Cloning would need an entire different area with just the MH.

cool,
i was planning on building a little shelf type system with 2-4 flour bulbs to start seedlings until there ready for the MH. but that badboy thing looks nice. Do you suggest that i put the MH hung off the top of the grow tent for the big plants and put a little shelf thing inside the tent to mount the badboy under. or just use the badboy alone?
for Seedlings through until ready for 12 12.
i was only planning on getting the 400W MH because i thought the MH was much better spectrum and had better penetration or something. My primary factor is yield, apart from that itl be cost. so..
