65 degrees to cold?

Hey all, starting an autoflower grow. Doing it in a stealth box.

Unfortunately, I have to do it in my basement where it stays pretty cool.

I have noticed that inside the box is staying about 62 degrees, but about 68 degrees right by the lights.

I of course are trying to keep the plants as close to the lights as possible.

So far, on day 5 i have a set of 4 leaves and a plant that is about 1 inch tall.

My question is, will this prove to cold to grow???

I'm no expert but I'm sure the temp need to be in the high 70's to low 80's. But then some strains thrive in high temps an others prefer the lower temps. Ur need to read up on ur strain and see what it can handle.

generally, you want temps to be between 72`F to 85`F. Anything above 90`F... and your going to cook your plants.

anything below 65`F... and I would begin to worry about the roots not having enough warmth to grow.. therefore, not being able to get the

plant to grow or sprout for that matter.

You using CFL lights???? If so, you could put your plant(S) as close to the plants as possible.. even touching the lights for that matter as

CFL lights don't put out enough heat to really do any harm to the plant(S). I would recommend using HPS/MH lights.. especially for you.

Using these lights.. they generate much more heat when compared to CFL lights.. and they would also help raise room temps for your grow

area and your plants.

Hope this gives you some idea of what to do..

good luck!

peace
