600w or 1000w hps

im looking to buy a light i will have good ventilation in a10x14 room growing 6 plants. over all what would be the bette choice for a light a 600w or 1000w hps? i know more is better but is there an advantage of the 600w?

Get the 1000 watt hps and you wont be sorry. I dont even think 600 watts is enough to grow 6 plants properly.

If you can cool it, and afford it - always go 1000w!

600's generally cost more and are harder to find . . . I run 2 600's in a similar sized room, for 8-12 plants. Works alright, nice tops, but lower growth suffers.

I agree I got a 600 watty on a 3.5 intellidrive and lowers suffer...other than that though its frikken awesome....if you can supplement your lower lighting you'll be gravy...1000W produce a lot of frikken heat and unless you got a way to dissipate your room is going to get to hot and your plants will ultimately suffer brotha...I mean the room gonna get hot with a 600 watty but not like 1000

600w has better lumens per watt than 1000w, but its not enough for your space unless you SOG. For small grow you can take advantage of lesser heat and bring tops right up to the tube and get tops that are so nice. I love it when the top of the cola has a little white bud on it due to the intense light.
