600w HPS vs LEDs for flowering??

Hey guys i am getting a donation of a 600w HPS for my grow.. right now i am currently using a 300w led for veg room and 450w led for flowering.. I am thinking of moving the leds together in veg room and using the 600w HPS in the flowering room on its own what do you guys think?? I have heard a lot of different oppinions about LEDs but so far have been great for me no experience with HPS... I do have to say I am in asia so high temps..

Heat man....

Lots of heat.

Certainly not as bad as a 1K, but it can be a pain in the ass to manage the heat without a dedicated AC system.

Give it a shot and see what happens.

I'm thinking of turning it on only at night time 12/12 for flowering.. and also thinking of having a fan pointed up at the light blowing hot air up into vent fan... but still duno if will be cool enugh... think i will need to get a thermometer

Yeah man I use cfls for veg and a 250 hps for flowering and even that booger can give off too much heat at times. I see a lot of growers using leds nowadays might try it but with my budget they r kinda expensive for me right any insight on a cheaper led system anything under 300 bones.

yeah heavyset you can get a 300 watt full spectrum panel for 125-180 on craigslist or ebay , ide go with ebay tho and if you toss a good fan over the tops of the girls ur good usually if you have good ventin too i dont exactly kno ur set up but my 8 by 8 1/2 was nice 78 with 2 400watt hps wish i had it still nice set up it was

Thanks bro ill check it out on eBay those r some nice pics. My set up is as basic as it gets. Cardboard box, some Mylar, old computer cooling fan and my my 250hps. Nothing serious I've got a board set up with curls that I use from time to time nothing serious. No need for the filters a little ona in while flowering is good enough for me cause I live in the sticks. Smell doesn't bother the wife so I'm cool. Right now I'm doing a super micro grow nothing big for me anymore. None ounce usually lasts me for over a year nowadays so I only grow once a year small compact and very very powerful medicine.

I'm gonna post some pics when I get a new camera charger I might throw something up when my lights come on with my phone.not crazy about the camera on that thing it's hard to adjust but I'm still in seedling stage at day 12 I'm gonna let them go about 18 more days then ill flip that switch I'm not transferring they will finish in 8 ounce styrofoam cups and old water bottles all the way. Bonsai.

Those girls are beautiful what are they? I like to have darker strains myself. Since I grow bag seed I never know what I'm gonna get. I love the suspense of it all

my first six that are flowering are all random actually thai stick, pineapple express, afghan... got them off a mate of mine... How much u yield using old water bottles?? Im thinking of changing to square pots just so i can use space efficently

Around 10 grams dry using my super micro technique. Honestly you don't wanna go this route if you are looking for big yields. Bigger the pot bigger the plant larger the yield. Happy growing man.

Damn man I just fried the baby. Well now I have six instead of seven oh well. I never fret my seed supply is endless plus the youngest two seedlings r about ten days behind the others . Yeah I think I'm gonna flip right at 30 days cause the wife and I go on vacation in Dec. And I think these r sativa the kind that take forever

yea im thinking of staying away from sativas cause of the long flowering time... but i think i got 1 or 2 of those too... does anyone know why all the tops seem to be yellowing all the small new growth or is that normal?

Check for pests they still look good to me though I think your fine might need a boost in nitro make sure your light is at a good distance from the tops try not to water or feed too much. Imo they look fine man. I've got a battle ahead of me these bag seed plants always throw like 5 hurdles in my way. But my grows r as ghetto as u can get and as long as the bud doesn't mold or theirs no mites I don't care how the leaves look in veg or flower

hahaha i should chill out more like you... Im always trying to rush my grow... got some good news after giving nutes for 3days the yellowing has gone.. have started to just give ph'ed water..

That's great news brother. I think we all become a little worried trying to get the best quality buds from our grows. It's common when u really care for what your doing. Ill call it growers passion lol
