600 wat hps woth umbrella reflector or 1000

Should I get 600 wat hps with umbrella reflector or 1000 watt hps air cooled?

get a 1000w dimmable ,coz if u get the 600 youl just want a 1000w later anyways!!

although it may be possible to ditch the umbrella and do some sort of vertical grow.. I think this also requires growing them normal and then putting them into a stadium style grow around a bulb... and may fit (barely ) in a tent.

renfro is right, horizontal bulb may work in a tent but for an umbrella bulb, which is better, Is way more applicable in an open room-grow situation for how it throws light and heat.

Back in the mid 90's I had a 1500 watt metal halide (spare lamp and ballast kit from a stadium). I stuck that lamp in an umbrella (parabolic) and powered it up with the ballast. Wow that was bright lol.
