...isn't that guy just completely ridiculous.

well, if he had some extreme maxed out co2, the lighting water or air cooled to the extreme where it had the plants almost touching multiple lights (not 2 1000 watts, like 5 400 watts, or more smaller ones) with completely reflective material near 99 percent, and he did some sort of pruning sog or scrog where it was all huge colas.....
probably not. but I would pay to see it.
