Alittle over 30 days into flowering and these damn thing keep on getting bigger. A couple days ago the slowed down on their nutes consumption. So I figured this was a sign. But that only lasted for about 4 days and then they started right back up taking in nutes and water like crazy. I moved them to a better location with higher ceiling but ther are still growing about 1-2 inches a day. I dont know what the hell Im gonna end up doing. But thats something Ill worry about twhen the time comes. My question is that normal for them to slow down and then speed up on taking up nutes??

they should only grow about 1/3 to 1/2 of what they were before you flowered theres no light goin in during the night

Sorry but that's just incorrect. A healthy plant will double to triple in height in flowering.

To the OP, i'm in the same boat. I'm growing in a tent and have only 9" of clearance left in between my plant and the light. Still growing more every day. I dunno what to do either.

WOW! I am doing sativas and am only 1/2 way thru flowering. I did use bushmaster early on during veg to help slow down the height. It burnt the shit out of them but they have seemed to stop growing verticle. I only have about 12" left and at least 5 weeks to go.

Can you tie them back a bit? Maybe bend them some?

well maybe some will but not the indica my buddy gave me clones of they have only grown about 8 inches since i started flowering a month ago he told me that they'll grow about a 1/3 to 1/2 of the size and so far hes right on the mark

Check Out my current grow in my sig. Northern lights indica. I started flowering at 13". 20 days into flowering now 30".

everything i've read from experienced growers and published authors states plants will on average double to triple in height during flowering.

I had the same problem a couple of years ago.

I hid one plant in with my Silver Queen Corn which grows about 7 feet tall. Anyway this Sativa was at least 2 feet taller than my corn plants when I finally freaked out a bit and chopped it :(

I still wonder how big that bitch would have been!

You guys should look into supercropping. you can bend the main stem about two thirds the way up (maybe even half the height of the stalk) and then tie it down so it doesn't bounce back up.

Just pinch it where You want it to fold over and then gingerly push it over to a 90 degree angle and tie it back to its main stem so it stays in that position.

You can supercrop the main stem or the smaller branches too. Its pretty cool, after a day or two You'll see how the plant just turns at a 90 degree angle to start growing back verticle.

I've heard you should really only do supercropping during veg though right?

Ya good point. But if Your only 2-3 weeks into flowering than You can still get away with it.

After that the stems get harder and will crack instead of just folding over nicely.

Good point Fanco.
